Charlie Chaplin - The Great Dictator - final speech (by CharlesChaplinDoku)

When Ralph Nader and Ron Paul can sit together on CNN and talk about common ground, you KNOW this movement has a shot at success.  Let’s come together and focus on what we agree upon, then TAKE DOWN the power structures that deny what We The People demand!

LET’S ROLL!

"

We must reclaim our willingness to stand for what’s right in America and not be fearful to challenge those who have a totally different agenda that has nothing to do with the truth.

Truth and reconciliation. This is time for us to start this process that can bring us together, that can reclaim the unity which is a powerful force in America, that can reclaim the love which we have for each other, that can make it possible for us to reconnect with the world community. Not based on the force of our arms but based on the power of our integrity.

PopMuda Post 4: On unity

mypopin:

For my fourth post, I would like to share with you an article I wrote last year, which was published in a mainstream newspaper. It was for a column that belonged to the National Young Lawyers Committee of the Bar Council.

The topic of the article is unity.

Unity, race relations and nation building are issues that are dear to me. We are a country of diversity and differences, and whilst it gives the nation this rich tapestry of cultures and religions, it also means that it is far easier to divide us than to unite us. We prefer to focus on the differences and the divisions rather than the similarities and the bonds of common humanity.

That is why, after some 52 years of nationhood and decades of living together, we still talk about ‘us’ and ‘them’ when referring to our own countrymen. Our measure of unity is mere ‘tolerance’, we are proud of the fact that there is no major sectarian violence since 1969.

In the article, Unity through acceptance, I put forth my views on how we may try to achieve national unity, the main obstacles to it and how to overcome those obstacles.

How ‘bouts GLOBAL unity?
